My education started in the Rudolf Steiner Basic School, where art, music and drama were as important as formal education. Drawing, painting, sculpting and wood carving were my favorite subjects. Secondary school coincided with the beginning of the digital era and mathematics was actually taught on the first Apple. I finished my secondary and vocational training at the Graphic Lyceum in Rotterdam. Besides baseball and skateboarding, my daily activities were aimed at lots of drawing, working with Photoshop and making illustrations. In 1999, I graduated as a graphic designer.

My career first began at TV Rijnmond and later at TV West in The Netherlands, where I made many animations, including games. Afterwards, I set up my own company ‘Movies and Graphics’. Each assignment challenged me to explore the visual media further, strengthening my professionalism. My skills improved, my sense of beauty heightened, my view on visual creations widened. I mastered the tools of my trade.

2014 was a turning point that brought many changes, both personally and professionally. Ever since, a new awareness has been growing and I have been rediscovering my passion for arts and crafts. Inspired by the creativity of the Dutch media architect Jan Janssen, I started working with my hands. Back to basic, me and the canvas or me and a lomp of wood, or me and…. what ever come’s in my mind. I look at it clear my mind and start creating.
